Evidence-based Approach

Welcome to the Evidence-based Approach page on Inspect4good.co.uk. Here, we delve into the importance of evidence-based practices in transforming educational inspection in England for good.

What is an Evidence-based Approach?

An evidence-based approach involves making decisions about educational practices and policies, through trials of new ways forward.  It emphasises the importance of using rigorous research methods to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and ensure that decisions are informed by data rather than assumptions.

Why is it Important?

Implementing an evidence-based approach in educational inspection allows us to identify what works and what doesn't. By relying on empirical evidence rather than anecdotal experiences, we can ensure that our interventions are impactful and sustainable, leading to continuous improvement in educational quality.

How would it work

A  well thought out new inspection system would run in a large geographical area of England for 5 years. Its impacts would be monitored and compared with Ofsted's impacts and better ways forward would be identified
